Sooper Credit Union Announces New Grand Junction Branch Leadership

ARVADA, Colo. – May 12, 2022 – Sooper Credit Union, a $566M Colorado financial institution, is pleased to announce the appointment of Derek Wise as Branch Manager and Monique Lange as Assistant Branch Manager serving members in the Grand Junction branch.

Derek Wise has five years of credit union experience, all of them with Sooper Credit Union. He has advanced from Teller to Senior Teller to Lending Service Representative to Assistant Branch Manager, and now Branch Manager. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from the Community College of Denver. He is a graduate of the Mesa County Leadership Program through the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, where he learned the impact that all businesses play in the community’s success.

Derek’s passion for members and the community is always present in his work at Sooper.

“A huge passion of mine is helping people purchase their first home,” said Derek. “It’s an exciting milestone that can take years of hard work. I enjoy guiding them through building credit, budgeting finances, and then celebrating when they close on their mortgage.”

Monique Lange has six years of banking experience, four of them with Sooper Credit Union. In her time with Sooper, she has advanced from Senior Teller to Member Service Representative to Lending Service Representative to Loan Officer, and now Assistant Branch Manager. She is an active participant of the Mesa County Leadership Program through the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce and is a long-time resident of the Grand Valley, calling Grand Junction home for nearly 30 years.
